Lecture – The best warriors against whom I fought (11/11/2015)

On the occasion of the armistice of the The First World War, our club member Igor Mijatovic held interesting lecture on the subject “The best warriors against whom I fought” Baron von Mackensen. The lecture was conceived so that the famous statement of participants of the Great War (King of Petra, through the Austrian and Russian Tsar, to Churchill) follows the course of the war in the Balkans and Serbia’s participation in the same. Special attention was given to the creation of the Kingdom Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian people, and events that preceded to unification of the first Yugoslavia. At the lecture, we had the opportunity to see Serbian newspapers from Bizerte, offices’s sword from the war, as well as a number of medals.
