Rotaract Club Dedinje marks International Literacy Day (10/7/2011)

On the 7th of October, Rotaract Club Dedinje conducted an donation of 70 books to the the Clinic of Neurology and Psychiatry of Children and Youth in Belgrade to mark International Literacy Day in the Rotarian 2011/2012. The action was supported by the Publishing house Portalibris and Club’s previous cooperator “Zekan”, the school of English.

Action was followed through also by KeyConnection Media which joined the Club both at the activity as well as the meeting that was organized prior.

By supporting International Literacy Day, the Club marks the initiative proclaimed by UNESCO in 1965.which is, since 1966. celebrated all over the world with humanitarian actions and happenings. Promoting literacy and raising literacy awareness is one of the pillars of Rotary International as well as a recurring theme in Dedinje Club actions.
